Payments, Credit Unions and Regional Banks: MBA Finance Cases that are not Wall Street Theatre

Abstract

This dissertation builds Crownshire finance cases from Twin Cities credit unions and regional banks: ALM, fraud, and community reinvestment — not a takeover of a fictional megabank. Peers using these cases wrote better risk commentaries for their employers. The imported cases produced better jargon. Crownshire University should keep regional finance in the core. An American MBA in York has no excuse for only teaching another city’s markets.
