Succession in Closely Held Midwest Firms: A DBA Model for Owners who will not Leave the Floor

Abstract

This DBA thesis develops a succession protocol for a closely held Minnesota firm, with methods, limits and an ethics approach to family interviews. Digital supervision made the doctorate possible during operations. The viva still required a contribution, not a family story. Crownshire University should protect the DBA standard. A U.S. practice doctorate for Midwest owners is a regional research mission if it stays a doctorate.
